How to Write Better College Essays and Termpapers
admin on May 13, 2010 in college essay writers No Comments »Anyone can write
college essay or term paper, but not everyone can do it properly. Even the best students can find themselves paralyzed by writer’s block or unaware that their essay or term paper is too difficult to read or follow. My eight tips will jumpstart your essay writing process.
1st Time is everything.
Leave yourself enough time to write, edit and rewrite. Plan to fill your essay one day, or week, depending on what fits your schedule, in advance, then you can run it through spelling and grammar check – and ask someone else to read it. You term paper or an essay may look and sound perfectly for you, but other readers agree?
2nd CHOOSE THE RIGHT theme.
Choosing the right theme or topic has granted access to the full. Find something you know well and love. Be sure you understand the task, if not, ask questions until you’re not sure what to do.
3rd MAKE your writing unique.
Make your writing unique. Let your “why” shine through. Communicate why you chose to write about this topic, why I love this theme, and why it is important to your topic – not in so many words, but put his passion into his writing.
4th Write a diverse audience.
Write to the widest audience. If you write to your teachers because it requires you to do this, then your writing style will be displayed. Imagine a real world audience wishes to hear what you have to say, and write for them. Your audience may include training employees to read the manual, the foundation’s Board of Directors approved the proposal to read the newspaper or magazine subscribers, and so on. This will give your writing purpose, focus and clarity.
5th USE RESEARCH TO AID your writing.
Learn how to find and use popular academic search engines such as the Academic Index, EBSCO Host, Virtual LLC, or web-Wilson. Ask your college librarian to help you.
6th ALWAYS PLAN.
Plan what you write before you enter the first word. Say it as briefly and clearly as you can. Understand and highlight the purpose of your work, and decide how you intend to substantiate their claims. Then the meat out. Writing more than one word is not necessarily better, and write what you think you need to get your point across.
7th PAPER aesthetics.
Break your work in a reasonable length pieces. Keep your paragraphs short. Use subheadings.
8th NOT copied from other newspapers.
Do not plagiarize, when in doubt, cite your source. Ask the professor if he prefers the quote method. Otherwise, the use of quotations in the text, if your job is relatively short, the use of footnotes in several papers.
If you use it, know your sources well. It breeds lots of rumors, opinions, and plagiarism. If you are writing your own ideas or what is common knowledge, then you need to cite, but you can do if you paraphrase.
Read sample essays and works to understand the concepts of theme, approach and writing style, but does not copy the entire essay and submit it as their own, because this is plagiarism. Not only will you take away learning the necessary writing skills, but most professors know how to check for plagiarizers. It’s never worth the risk.
Armed with my eight tips, you can shake off the paralysis of writing and submit that masterpiece essay or term paper. P>
